Expressive Arts Therapy Certificate Program

January 2012 - June 2012

  • A 6 month intensive training in the fundamentals of expressive arts therapy.
  • An introduction for individuals who may want to use the arts in their clinical practise, community work or for personal experience.
  • A degree is not required but an openness to experience the intermodal use of expressive arts.

Program Components:

  • 66 hours of in-class training
  • 50 hours studio time
  • 10 hours individual therapy with an arts therapists (not required but recommended)

Tuition:

  • $2400
  • $200 due at the time of registration (non-refundable)
  • $2200 will be divided into a three month payment schedule with the first installment due in January ($800)

  • October 1, 2011

  • Module 1:  The Healing Art of Creative Writing and Storytelling ~ January 14 & 15, 2012
  • Module 2:  Art Therapy ~  February 11 & 12, 2012
  • Module 3:  Music Therapy  ~ March 10 & 11, 2012
  • Module 4:  Dance/Movement Therapy ~ April 14 & 15, 2012
  • Module 5:  The Art of Intermodal   Expressive Arts Therapy ~ May 12 & 13, 2012
  • Module 6:  Integration & Installations ~  June 9, 2012
